DISCRETE MATHEMATICS - Week of Wednesday September 25 to Friday September 27 2019: CH 2.1 Fair Division Introduction and CH 2.2 Estate Division

Students, thank you for being flexible this week. I recorded these lessons ahead of time so that you can watch them in my absence.

For Wednesday September 25, 2019
- The substitute will have the Chapter 2.1 - Intro Group Activity and Follow-Up Questions work. No videos for this lesson. Follow instructions with this discussion-based inquiry and work. The left-over time will be for your individual work.

DO NOT turn in anything to the substitute. Hold this until I get back.

ALGEBRA II - Week of Tuesday September 24 to Friday September 27 2019: Linear Function 4 Missing Variable for Slope (continued); Systems of Linear Equations Packet

Students, thank you for being flexible this week. I recorded these lessons ahead of time so that you can watch them in my absence.

You will work on these continuously for this week. This means that once you're done with Linear Function 4, you move on to the Systems of Linear Equations Packet.

(1) We will continue with Linear Function 4 Missing Variable for Slope, TI-84 Linear Regression. Follow the videos for the notes and what problems to do. It is recommended to watch the video first, then do the following problems, as instructed on the videos. Keep doing this until you are completed with notes and work with Linear Function 4.

Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 09/24-27 Part 1/8

Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 09/24-27 Part 2/8

Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 09/24-27 Part 3/8

DO NOT turn in anything to the substitute. Hold these until I get back.

(2) Next up is the Systems of Linear Equations Packet. It is recommended to watch the video first, then do the following problems, as instructed on the videos. Keep doing this until you are completed with notes and work with Systems of Linear Equations Packet.

Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 09/24-27 Part 4/8

Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 09/24-27 Part 5/8

Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 09/24-27 Part 6/8

GEOMETRY - Week of Tuesday - Thursday September 24 to September 26 2019: Introduction and Definitions; Transformations Packet I Rotations, Translations, Dilations

Students, thank you for being flexible this week. I recorded these lessons ahead of time so that you can watch them in my absence.

(1) This first link is for those who need to go over the problems on the last page for the homework titled "Introduction and Definitions", the homework that had all the definitions and drawings we did, along with the discussions. Here is that link so you can check your work:

Tuesday 09/24/2019 Part 1/6

DO NOT turn anything to the substitute. Hold these until I get back.

(2) You will do these sections for Tuesday AND Thursday, so if you do not finish on Tuesday, continue these on Thursday until they are completed. These are the notes for Rotations, Translations, and Dilations.  It is recommended that you watch and take notes on the lesson, then do the class work. Repeat this recommendation until you are done with the Transformations Packet I.

Tuesday and Thursday 09/24-26 Part 2/6

Tuesday and Thursday 09/24-26 Part 3/6

Tuesday and Thursday 09/24-26 Part 4/6
(On this video, I made a small mistake around the 6:00 minute mark, but caught myself around the 7:00 minute mark)

Tuesday and Thursday 09/24-26 Part 5/6

Tuesday and Thursday 09/24-26 Part 6/6

DO NOT turn anything to the substitute. Hold these until I get back.

(3) When you are done with the Transformations Packet I, you will login to Mathia to start the Mathia modules. I opened up two modules: Getting Started and Module 6: Geometry. Start on the "Getting Started" module first, then continue to Module 6. This will be due by the end of Quarter 1, so if you're not done this week, then that is ok.

Ask the substitute for how to login. I made 15 copies; the login process and website is also on the board. Let me actually just post it here now:

Step 1: go to https://clever.com/in/dodea

Step 2: Log in with your Clever username and password (use school Google)

Step 3: Click on CL Carnegie Learning. (My website will also be listed there; don't click my website, click on CL Carnegie Learning)

DO NOT turn anything to the substitute. Hold these until I get back.

Algebra II - Monday September 23 2019 Linear Functions 4 Missing Variable for Slope, TI-84 Linear Regression | Day 1

We started linear functions 4 backwards by doing linear regression on the TI-84 this time around.

Monday 09/23/2019 Part 1/2

We then started taking notes on question #1. We will finish next class.

Monday 09/23/2019 Part 2/2

Discrete Mathematics - Friday September 6 2019 Condorcet Method, Advantages and Disadvantages of the Five Methods

We first learned the Condorcet method.

Friday 09/06/2019 Part 1/2

We then listed down the advantages and disadvantages of plurality, Borda, runoff, sequential runoff SRM, and Condorcet.

Friday 09/06/2019 Part 2/2

Algebra 2 - Thursday September 5 2019 Problems Involving Linear Function Notation | Part 1 Day 1

There were supposed to be three rounds of notes, but we will move the third round to a Day 2. Today's lesson was about using the calculator to help us with fractions. We also applied function notation into problems we know how to do involving creating linear functions with slope and two points.
